Working together to bless and care for the families of critically ill children.

Thank you for visiting our site.  Kyle’s Care benefits the families of critically ill children at Cook Children’s in Fort Worth, Texas. The Kyle Bradley Staples Memorial Fund at Cook Children’s is used to allow families of critically ill children to eat in the cafeteria for free.

This fund is named in loving memory of Kyle, who was born in April 2009 with a congenital heart defect.  He survived two open heart surgeries but due to compounding complications, at 11 weeks old, Kyle died in the loving arms of his father and went to heaven.

In the weeks and months following those procedures, Kyle’s parents stayed by his side day and night. As those devoted parents stood watch over their son, it became evident they did not need to incur additional burdens. Cook Children’s has a wonderful cafeteria to serve both staff and families, but eating there on a daily basis can become expensive quickly causing a mounting financial burden for families. Kyle’s Care makes it possible for families of children in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit to eat in the cafeteria without being burdened with that additional expense.

As Kyle’s Care grows, our hope is to feed more and more families.  We invite you to join our efforts to care for others.
